One tree was reported down on a home in the 700 block of 3rd Street in Sanford. One individual in the home was injured as a result.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front resulted in the development of slow-moving thunderstorms with very heavy rain across portions of the Triangle. This resulted in multiple road and highway closures, particularly around Fuquay-Varina.
