Dominion Power reported numerous power outages between Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front coupled with a very unstable atmosphere produced a widespread severe weather outbreak through the late evening hours across Eastern NC. The thunderstorms were mostly wind driven with wind gusts of 65-70 mph,, though one storm produced isolated large hail.
