A tree was reported down, blocking the roadway near the 48800 block of High Rock Rd in Richfield.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving area of low pressure west of the mountains brought abundant moisture into the Carolinas. Showers and thunderstorms developed across western and central North Carolina during the afternoon hours, producing numerous reports of downed trees and power lines. Training thunderstorms also produced minor flooding in the Greensboro area.
