Penny sized hail fell in Berlin.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed within the proximity of an upper-level low pressure system off the coast of New England. Hail fell out of many of these storms and ranged from pea size (around 0.25 inches) to as large as ping-pong balls (1.50 inches). In some locations, hail fell long enough to accumulate on ground surfaces.
