Event narrative

A tree was blown down near the Haddock Drive and Haddock Road intersection. The time of damage was based on radar. The cost of damage was unknown, but it was estimated for inclusion of the event in Storm Data.

Wider weather episode

Moist, unsettled SW steering flow and low-level convergence brought an early start to storms across the Suwannee River Valley. A short-wave trough impulse approached from the west in the afternoon over an unstable airmass, that further enhanced convective growth as storms approached the Atlantic coast. A strengthening low-level jet prevented the east coast sea breeze from moving far inland but did enhance downdraft strength in storms.
