A thunderstorm wind gust of 41 mph/36 knots was measured at the SFWMD Lake Okeechobee North End sensor.

Despite a mid-level ridge, there was moderate moisture available in South Florida. With daytime heating, the afternoon sea breezes led to several thunderstorms over the interior and Lake Okeechobee.
