A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down a tree onto power lines along Farrandsville Road to the west of Dunnstown.

Widely scattered showers and storms developed ahead of a cold front as it approached central Pennsylvania during the afternoon and evening of July 13, 2023. The storms produced sporadic wind damage and one report of quarter-sized hail.
