A thunderstorm complex that developed over Nebraska during the early morning hours of July 29th tracked southeast across Missouri and eventually progressed into Illinois by the late afternoon. The thunderstorm complex primarily impacted areas across southern Illinois, but did produce wind damage as far north as Clay County.
