Public provided pictures of a half mile damage swath area with large trees approximately 12 inches in diameter snapped near Mondovi.
Wider weather episode
A line of storms developed and moved east into western Wisconsin late on the evening of June 28th. As the line continued farther east into Wisconsin, most storms decreased in intensity. One larger storm continued southeast and became severe through west-central Wisconsin late that night into the early morning hours of June 29th. Reports included a narrow line of broken large trees near Mondovi (Buffalo County) and golf ball sized hail in Pigeon Falls (Trempealeau County).
