Measured via Ambient Weather. Air temperature dropped from 90 degrees to 72 with passage of storm.
Wider weather episode
Scattered thunderstorms impacted central and southwestern Montana. The strongest storms developed over Great Falls which had wind gusts around 50 mph, and the Canyon Ferry Lake area where gusts up to 63 mph were officially recorded. Other storms across the area generally produced wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph and small hail.
