An area of low pressure over central South Dakota, with a stationary front eastward along Interstate 90, brought periods of thunderstorms late on July 3rd through the early morning hours on July 4th. The storms produced isolated severe weather with golf ball size hail near Florence and a 77 mph wind gust near Gann Valley.
