Event narrative

Public reported a measured wind gust of 78 mph on Hwy 4 west of Plymouth. Trees, pivots and power lines down and minor building damage from 2 miles north of Tobias to 3 miles north of Plymouth to Daykin.

Wider weather episode

A line of storms developed in central Nebraska where they merged and began to bow as it approached southeast Nebraska. The surging storms produced widespread wind damage downing trees, powerlines, and removed the roof from a hog barn. The strongest measured wind gust was 81 mph near Dorchester in Saline County.
