The I80 - Leroy mesonet station recorded a period of wind gusts to 65 mph as a result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

From the afternoon of July 6 on into the evening, isolated to scattered clusters of showers and thunderstorms impacted portions of northern Utah and southwest Wyoming, yielding a few strong to severe wind gusts.
