Two trees were blown down by thunderstorm winds along Hixburg Road and Bowler Creek Road.
Wider weather episode
An upper level area of low pressure and and associated cold front dropped into the the Mid-Atlantic region. Storms erupted by midday, aided in part by large-scale forcing, but also driven by diurnal heating and unstable air. A few organized clusters of storms produced wind damage across the area.
