Trained spotter measured a 65 mph gust near Gilman.

Wider weather episode

A widespread area of strong to severe storms progressed through the Upper Mississippi River Valley during the nighttime hours of July 19th. As the storms reached counties in central Wisconsin, a general weakening trend resulted in decreasing intensity and spatial extent of storms. A damaging wind gust of 65 mph was recorded in western Clark County near the Town of Gilman.
