Thunderstorm winds blew down several trees and power lines, as well as numerous tree limbs around town.
Wider weather episode
A severe mesoscale convective system (MCS) moved through the forecast area during the afternoon hours producing widespread 60-70mph winds and associated damage. The complex moved to the southeast taking advantage of 3500-4500 J/kg of surface-based CAPE.
