The Beach mesonet station recorded a wind gust of 58 mph as a result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.
Wider weather episode
An influx of moisture restarted a brief active period moving towards the middle of September. As a result, the region saw a couple of days with scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which produced strong gusty winds, with one producing a landspout.
