Wider weather episode

On the night of September 27th, a warm front stretched east through southern Indiana from a low pressure system that was over southern Illinois. Even though instability was limited from diurnal warming because of cloud cover, enhanced upper forcing caused convection to develop over southern Indiana south of the warm front, and a couple thunderstorms became severe, producing severe winds and dropping large hail in a few isolated areas of north central Kentucky.
