Local broadcast media shared a public report of 10 inches of snow in Chassell in less than a 24-hour period. Lesser amounts of 2 to 4 inches were observed across the rest of northern Houghton County.

Wider weather episode

A colder airmass along with a series of Clipper waves moving across the Upper Great Lakes generated moderate to heavy lake enhanced snow into portions of west and north central Upper Michigan from the 29th into the 31st.
