The Olmos Creek wildfire started on the 4th in Atascosa County. The conditions were hot and dry with high temperatures near 104 with minimum relative humidity near 28%. Winds were 10-15 mph with gusts up to 24 mph. The fire burned 304 acres before being brought under control on the 5th.

Near critical fire weather conditions were observed with relative humidity of 15%-30% and winds of 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph and a number of fires started.
