Event narrative

Thunderstorm winds downed a tree near the intersection of South Main Street and Professional Park Drive, and downed another tree in the 500 block of Ellet Road, which landed on a vehicle and caused damage.

Wider weather episode

A stationary front remained over the Mid Atlantic region and led to multiple rounds of thunderstorms. While wind shear was weak, instability was high creating a favorable environment for localized damaging winds during the late morning and afternoon hours.
