Event narrative
Drought that developed during the summer continued into the fall. Severe Drought (D2) conditions prevailed across the entire county through the 11th, until showers and thunderstorms drought heavy rain to the area on the 12th and 13th. Two day rainfall totals include 2.12 inches at Wautoma and 2.00 inches at Hancock. For the latter half of the month, only the southwest quarter of Waushara County remained in Severe Drought (D2) while the rest of the county was classified under Moderate Drought (D1). For the month, Hancock recorded 4.19 inches of rain (155% of normal) and Wautoma 4.19 inches (152% of normal).

Severe (D2) Drought continued across Waushara County in October. At the beginning of the month, the entire county was under Severe Drought (D2) conditions until showers and thunderstorms brought heavy rain on the 12th and 13th. For the latter half of the month, only the southwest quarter of the county remained in Severe Drought (D2) with Moderate Drought (D1) over the rest of the county.
