ASOS unit at Shaw AFB measured a wind gust of 36 knots or 41 mph.

A cold front pushed through the region during the evening of December 10, 2023. Along and behind the front for a period of time, wind gusts around 40 to 50 mph were measured at multiple locations. There were multiple reports of downed trees and power outages.
