Generally 2 to 7 inches of snow fell across the area with 5 to 7 inches of snow at elevations above 7000 feet MSL. 7.1 inches of snow was reported at Hesperus 4.9ESE.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure trough moved through Arizona and New Mexico, with southerly flow bringing moderate snow to the southwest San Juan Mountains and Animas River Valley, where rain changed over to snow on the evening of the 13th, producing accumulating snow in the southern valleys and foothills as well.
