Mesonet station kmtbynum11 measured a 60 mph wind gust just east of the southern Rocky Mountain Front zone.

Wider weather episode

H700 winds on the order of 50 kts developed while a lee side surface trough deepened. The result was for a period of strong winds along the Rocky Mountain Front and across the MT-200 corridor.
