Event narrative

Strong low pressure moving northward along the coast resulted in very strong southeast, south and then west winds which caused minor to moderate (tidal) coastal flooding over portions of Northumberland county adjacent to the Potomac River. Lewisetta reached 3.56 feet MLLW at 430 am and 524 am on Monday, December 18.
