An area of low pressure slowly tracking up and just off the East Coast brought widespread moderate to heavy snow across southern Vermont on January 6-7, 2024. Snowfall totals were generally between 5 and 10 inches with localized areas around a foot. The Route 9 Truck Chain-up Law was declared for this event. Snow Emergencies were also declared for some municipalities.
