Precipitation streamed east-northeastward across the Tennessee River Valley on the 14th and 15th. The northern fringes of this system crossed the Quad State in two primary waves, one on the 14th during the afternoon into the early evening, and the second on the 15th during the morning. The first wave on the 14th resulted in 1-2'' of snowfall in far southern Illinois while, further north, snowfall amounts were less than an inch. The second wave on the 15th was limited to flurries in Southern Illinois.
