Event narrative

Emergency manager reported that thunderstorm winds downed a tree, flipped a 4-wheeler on its side and knocked bricks off the side of a house.

Wider weather episode

An amplified upper level trough dropping out of the Rockies tracked east across the Central Plains. As it did so, it began to drive a cold front east through Texas and across the northern Gulf Coast. Ample moisture and sufficient instability enhanced intensity of a couple thunderstorms which resulted in a damaging wind report in Pearl River County.
