Snowfall totaled 3.0 inches at Madison. Visibility was as low as 1/2 mile at times of falling snow and wind gusts up to around 30 mph in the early afternoon hours.

A clipper system in northwest flow traversed the edge of the arctic airmass, and brought a pulse of warm advection which resulted in a brief burst of moderate snowfall. Accumulations ranged from 1 to 5 inches, with some areas of blowing snow from northwest wind gusts as high as 20 to 30 mph.
