Additionally, light freezing rain occurred during the morning and early afternoon on January 16 based on temperature obs and radar with no reports received regarding accumulation.

Weak low pressure moved across the Carolinas on January 15, bringing light snow across portions of the Maryland Eastern Shore. Snowfall totals were one inch or less. As the moisture aloft became shallow on the night of January 15 into January 16, snow transitioned to freezing rain and drizzle, ending on the afternoon of January 16.
