Scattered thunderstorms developed into northeastern Oklahoma during the early evening of the 13th, along and ahead of a dry line that had mixed to near a Pawhuska to Shawnee line. Moderately strong instability, combined with strong deep layer shear, resulted in severe thunderstorm development. The strongest thunderstorms produced large hail up to quarter size.
