Event narrative
Around 6:30 PM power-lines were downed in Claridon Township due to strong winds, causing a small brush fire. At around the same time, a large tree fell onto a house in Auburn Township, causing some damage to the home's roof, gutters, and porch. Strong winds knocked down trees and power-lines, causing over 2000 customers to lose power in the county.

Strong low pressure lifted out of the lower Mississippi Valley and into the Great Lakes January 12th and 13th. Strong southeasterly winds ahead of the low caused damage to parts of northern Ohio during the evening of January 12th, particularly near the Lake Erie shoreline from Cleveland points northeast. Strong westerly winds behind the low caused additional damage to parts of northern Ohio on January 13th.
