Severe drought (D2) conditions improved by mid-February.

Extreme (D3) Drought Conditions improved to Severe (D2) Drought Conditions along and south of Interstate 40 across West Tennessee. Severe (D2) Drought and Moderate (D1) Drought conditions continued to improve as precipitation across Tennessee was near or above normal and temperatures were below normal. Lake and river levels had increased flow to near and above normal due to upstream snowmelt.
