Gale-force wind gusts associated with multi-cell convective clusters occurred over the Florida Keys coastal waters as low pressure consolidated over the Florida Panhandle. Strong buoyancy and ample moisture contributed to numerous reports of wind gusts in the 40 to near-50 knot range.
