As low pressure deepened over the New England states, cold northwest flow, wrap around moisture, a series of surface troughs and lake enhancement led to accumulating snow. Portions of southern Erie County received heavy snow from this event. A CoCoRaHS observer measured 11 inches of snow in Corry. Elsewhere, spotters reported 9.7 inches in Union City with 6 inches reported in Greenfield Township, Edinboro, and Greene Township. Wind gusts to 40 MPH led to some blowing and drifting snow with visibility falling to under one-quarter of a mile at times due to a combination of falling snow and blowing snow.
