Observers reported a widespread 4 to 6 inches of wet snow across the county over less than a 30-hour period. The heavy snow combined with northeast wind gusts to 45 mph caused some minor tree damage, sporadic power outages and hazardous travel.

A powerful storm system tracking through the Great Lakes brought moderate to heavy wet snow and strong north to northeast winds to Upper Michigan from the evening of the 2nd into the morning of the 4th.
