A strengthening upper low slowly drifting in the Southern Great Lakes to Northern Ohio Valley produced gusty winds out of the WNW across the Quad State. Wind gusts were 30-40 mph areawide for the midday to afternoon hours, with the stronger gusts focused closer to Southeast Missouri and Southwest Indiana. Wrap-around showers occurred with small graupel occurring in many of these showers.
