Event narrative

A large tree was uprooted near Sullivan. In the same area, there was roof damage to a home including damage to the eaves and lifted shingles on one corner of the roof.

Wider weather episode

During the night on May 6th, 2024, a line of severe thunderstorms moved across western Missouri and impacted the NWS St. Louis forecast area during the early morning of May 7th. While damaging straight-line wind was observed across parts of the region, three QLCS tornadoes were detected.
