Report from mping: 3-inch tree limbs broken; Power poles broken.

Wider weather episode

A line of thunderstorms tracked southeast across the eastern Colorado plains during the afternoon and early evening of June 8th. The line of storms produce some severe hail, but strong winds were the main impact from the storms. Storm chasers encountered very strong winds at times with estimated wind gusts up to 100 mph. There were reports of branches broken off trees and some power line poles snapped.
