Event narrative

Up to a half inch of rain fell over a 15 minute period in the Town of Reidsville. A poor drainage issue caused a portion of Lawsonville Road to become flooded and impassible for a brief period of time. No damage was reported, and the road was open to traffic after the water receded.

Wider weather episode

A thunderstorm passing across the Town of Reidsville brought a third of an inch to a half inch of rain to the community during a roughly 15 minute period, with rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour. MRMS (Multi-Radar/Multi-Sensor) and FLASH data showed very modest and unimpressive returns for CREST Unit Streamflow, 1-Hour and 3-Hour ARIs, and 1-Hour and 3-Hour QPE/FFG data.
