Event narrative

The public reported nickel sized hail on the northeast side of Black River Falls.

Wider weather episode

Scattered storms formed across portions of western Wisconsin during the late afternoon of May 18th and moved east into central Wisconsin throughout the evening. These storms produced large hail with several reports up to 2 inches in diameter, especially across portions of Clark, Taylor, Jackson and Trempealeau counties.
