Event narrative

The public reported, via video and photos, several large trees that were blown down on property near Evans Road in the Huntingtown area. Many other adjacent properties also had large trees blown down.

Wider weather episode

A cold front intersecting a hot and humid airmass resulting in the formation of several bands of thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms produced scattered swaths of damaging wind, with one instance of considerable severe wind noted over southern Maryland.
