Scattered strong thunderstorms moved through portions of northwestern Arkansas during the morning of the 24th, the strongest of which produced hail up to penny size. Another round of thunderstorms developed into northwestern Arkansas during the evening hours, as a cold front moved into the area. The strongest of those storms produced hail up to quarter size and damaging wind gusts.
