Event narrative

Several large trees were downed as well as some large branches broken off of trees. Two of the trees were blocking a road. There was also a public report of a tree that fell through a house. Another report from the same area via social media, showing photos of the downed trees. Time was estimated based on radar.

Wider weather episode

A noteworthy elevated layer of instability built up aloft on the afternoon of June 4th. A line of thunderstorms developed across west-central MN which moved into eastern MN. Low level shear profiles supported an environment capable of producing mesovortices along the line, with damaging wind gusts. A couple of funnel clouds were also spotted, but neither was confirmed to have made ground contact.
