Effingham County Emergency Management reported an oak tree about 3 feet in diameter was blown down on Whitaker Road.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms started to develop around midday in the vicinity of a southward moving cold front. As these thunderstorms tracked to the south through the afternoon, they produced numerous reports of large hail and damaging wind gusts across southeast Georgia.
