Wider weather episode

A complex of thunderstorms along a weak and slowly-passing cold front, tracked from northern Illinois into northern central Indiana by midday hours. Ahead of the boundary, marginally warm yet rather humid surface conditions promoted slow strengthening of a few cells. A rogue, stronger storm coupled with a layer of dry air aloft to produce severe downdraft winds in rural central Hamilton County.
