The second of a multi-day stretch of hot and humid conditions continued on June 19, 2024 across much of eastern New York outside of the Adirondacks and eastern Catskills. Heat index (or feels like temperatures) reached between 95 and 104 degrees across the region.

The heat and humidity also resulted in isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. A few storms became severe downing trees and wires.
