Event narrative

Heavy rain led to flooding in the Vicksburg to Bovina area. Major flooding occurred on Veto Street in Vicksburg, and a portion of US Highway 80 between Vicksburg and Bovina was flooded. Flooding also caused a mudslide along Army Navy Drive.

Wider weather episode

A line of severe thunderstorms produced significant wind damage, heavy rain, hail, and a tornado as it crossed from Northeast Louisiana into Mississippi during the evening of April 9th. Subsequent heavy rain and storms continued into the daytime of April 10th.
