Event narrative

After earlier storms and heavy rain, a wake low pressure system developed and caused high winds in Warren County. A few trees were blown down on roads including Grange Hall Road, Falcon Ridge Rd., Interstate 20 westbound lanes, and Jeff Davis Rd. Power lines were blown down on Speed Street as well.

Wider weather episode

A line of severe thunderstorms produced significant wind damage, heavy rain, hail, and a tornado as it crossed from Northeast Louisiana into Mississippi during the evening of April 9th. Subsequent heavy rain and storms continued into the daytime of April 10th.
